Research

The Izar laboratory studies the role of tumor immunology during cancer development and metastasis. The underlying mechanisms inform fundamental questions in cancer biology and clinically relevant challenges. To enable this work, we develop and leverage novel single-cell genomics and genome-engineering tools to model human disease in patient-derived and murine models that faithfully recapitulate tumor-immune interactions.
